Commentary on O.B. Triple Sorry - Genius Marketing Tactic
This takes “personalization” on a whole new level. By typing in your name at the beginning, a thoughtful goodlooking guy sings a “personalized” song and personifying all the stereotypical things women want - from over-the-top apologies which include (but are not limited to) an apologetic tattoo, your name in the sky. It also addresses women’s psychological needs such as “deserving so much more” and the like. Here’s a shot of the thoughtful guy as he struggles to write an apology card:

It had me in stitches, and everyone from my dog to my mother looked at me as if I was losing my sanity. And in a way, I was.
See for yourself! I typed Bananahamock (pardon the misspelling - I had to stay within the character limit /sadface) but it sadly didn’t sing that. It opted to sing “hey” and “girl” instead. Oh well, wit can only take me so far.
Well, it certainly appeals to the female demographic. Perhaps the 18-25 internet savvy female - who will want to post it on Facebook to tell all her friends, and all the while - raising brand awareness about the O.B. brand.
And it does just that - at the end of the video, there is an option to share as well as to receive a coupon. Sleek.

There is a blatantly obvious “free trial” button that appeals to consumers that just might want to try O.B. tampons while the ever-so-witty advertisement.

Nicely done, O.B. tampons. You definitely had my attention. It just might be what I want to hear while I’m PMS-ing. (Sorry for the TMI. Love you.)
